Connecting My Laptop to My LCD TV

I am very excited for Christmas Eve (just two days away now), but I am also very excited about something else: increasing the size of my laptop screen 5 fold.

You see…I know that I will be getting a new LCD TV for Christmas and this thing is going to rock. I have researched it thoroughly and will be enjoying the heck out of this thing.

But the one piece that I am really excited about is hooking the laptop up to my new LCD TV. This will make for a huge computer monitor and allow me to watch the movies that are now just sitting on my computer. I had to hit the Internet and ask how do i connect my laptop to my TV to find out information on how to do this.

It’s pretty easy but one essential thing that you need to know is the difference between HDMI and DVI.  Does your computer have either or both?  If you have HDMI, which I do , your setup will rock.  One small cable brings you both video and sound.

If you are stuck with DVI or VGA though, you can still accomplish this too.

Give it consideration because using your laptop with your LCD TV is something that is pretty damn cool!
